The Dims

| SOOPOO Member since: Feb 19, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 5966 | Platner has opened a window into how Trump won. Democrat after Democrat has come out deriding a multitude of his actions, and mostly his character, and are now victim shaming the ex girlfriend who accused Platner of hurting her and locking her in a room. But always finish their comments with ‘but Collins confirmed Kavanaugh, so vote for Platner’! Lots of people ( the middle..) voted for Trump for the same concept. He’s bad, but at least he’s not a Democrat. Just get a SLIGHTLY better platform and the country is YOURS (Democrats). |

Top paragraph sounds a lot like SooPoo's approach to E Jean Carroll. What changed, SooPoo? |

If she is the woman who claimed Trump raped her in a department store elevator but somehow could not remember when I don’t believe her. If I’m mixing up Trump and Kavanaugh accusers…. that’s possible. To remind you, SOOPOO didn’t vote for Trump because his character is a disqualifying fact. Just like Platner’s should be. My point usually centers on the abject hypocrisy of the Dims. Support for Platner while decrying Trump is just the latest easy example. |

You are such a genius! You realized that there are no Mainers on the forum. We are DISCUSSING politics. It allows me to comment on California, as an example. You can comment on Mamdani. What an amazing thing this internet is. OnceDear comments here all the time about how he hates Trump. Should we prohibit him to do so since he’s from overseas? So I’ll make it easy for you. MAKE BELIEVE you are from Maine. Would you vote for a man like Platner, or the most middle of the road Republican in the Senate, Collins? |

You say I’m a Trump supporter. Please quote the post you are referring to. I’ve been told repeatedly that you are uneducable. This post is an easy example. We all talk about things that are not DIRECTLY about us. Heck, you’ve blathered on about the ‘right to an abortion’. Best we can tell that has nothing to do with YOU. |

The most middle of the road Republican in the Senate is still a Republican, and voted to put MAGA judges in office who overturned Roe and other precedents and voted with Donny 90-95% of the time. Collins never would've gotten my vote to begin with. She has never earned it, and Platner's flaws wouldn't change that. |

Fair enough. But would you cast a ballot for a scumbag like Platner? Similar to someone hearing me elucidate the reasons why Harris is unsuitable to be President. Then ask me if I’d vote for Trump then. My answer was no. All 3 times Trump ran. |

If I lived in Maine, I would not have cast my vote for him in the primary. I would've voted for Mills. But she dropped out back in April. So our choices are Collins, Plattner, whatever third party insane bozo decides to run or none of the above. And since the GOP has forever lost my vote, or at least until the last MAGA voter or politician ceases their subscription to life, that leaves Plattner, whatever third party insane bozo decides to run or none of the above. And since I have yet to see a third party candidate who isn't an insane bozo in my voting lifetime, that leaves Plattner or none of the above. And since I don't believe whatsoever in none of the above, that leaves Plattner for the win. I agree with the saying voting is like catching the bus. You’re not waiting for "the one". You’re getting on the bus. And if there isn’t one going exactly to your destination, you don’t stay home and sulk. You take the one that’s going closest to where you want to be. You'd rather stay home and sulk and insult Muslims, call Democratic areas slums and apply one sided standards to Democrats and call them scumbags. I choose to get on the bus that bring me closest to my destination. And not since Charlie Baker left office as the one and only Republican I have voted for since 1988, has that bus ever been driven by a GOP politician. |
