Odysseus is being used a lot today for the new movie etc. Seems like back in the day it was always Ulysses and seldom Odysseus.

In the English speaking world, if someone was named after Homer's character, Ulysses was going to be it, I'm pretty sure. Not that I personally knew anyone, it must have been rare. James Joyce's book used Ulysses for sure
