In the pantheon of stupid (and irresponsible) Trump promises, this one is on the top floor. If he would have said ‘take $5k from every American to lower the national debt, I could support that. And it’s so obviously a ‘it won’t happen so I can promise anything’ comment that it has no weight at all. That being said, I believe there are a LOT of idiots who might change their vote for the chance at a $10k (couple) payday.

In NY the Democrats did something like that. I got a $200 check, I believe the reason given was ‘to help me with Trumpflation (they used different words). And I just got $387 (STAR credit) to make up for the silly high real estate taxes we pay here. And it’s always clear that ‘this is Kathy Hochul at work for you’.

The government, if in debt, should pay off its debt before sending tax money back to the taxpayers. Or just lower taxes and don’t waste money printing and mailing checks!

You conveniently-as usual-omit Donny's two stimulus payments in 2020. Bribing voters for Donny is nothing new.

You are a lawyer? He is saying he will have legislation to disburse funds to American citizens. But he knows he needs a Congressional bill to pass for him to sign. And his point is that he will get it done if it’s Speaker (Republican) and Senate Majority leader (Republican), but won’t have any such bill to sign if it’s the Dems in those seats.

All politicians tell you what they will do if elected. Obamacare is giving (certain) citizens thousands of dollars in services a year. Should Obama not have mentioned it while campaigning?
