Sadly, those Venezuelan fishermen didn't figure out a way to pay off the Trumps before they went to sea. They might still be in business, like Zhao.

I hate the fact that a single human, the President, can override a prosecutor, judge, and jury. Is there any forum member who thinks giving ANY President the right to pardon is a good idea?

I think they might be more selective, if they couldn't ever pardon themselves. It might also be an improvement if a current president couldn't be pardoned by another president for a period of 1 term (4 years). Ford immediately pardoned Nixon. Maybe that was for the good of the country, maybe not. Maybe all Presidents should worry they might spend at least some time in jail. Or as I might put it, have some damn punishment "as a regular person" would.

I could care less about these just like I didn't care about AUTOPEN's pardons.

Yeah like every prosecutor, judge, and jury are unbiased and above reproach. What else about the US Constitution do you disagree with??

As the CIC, Donny does make that decision. But the DOD doesn't test nukes. The DOE has federal responsibility for the design, testing and production of all nuclear weapons. Furthermore, the DOE uses massive and powerful supercomputers to simulate nukes, in lieu of actual testing. This is a capability neither Russia nor China have.

This is another of his performative, useless and befuddling orders.
