Self-made -Steve Jobs - Jobs and Wozniak funded their venture by selling personal possessions, including Jobs's Volkswagen bus and Wozniak's calculator. to become billionaires.

Self-made Jeff Bezos moved to Seattle, started the company from his garage, and named it Amazon after the Amazon River, before it sold its first book in 1995.

Self-made Richard Branson started his career as a teenager in the 1960s by launching a youth magazine called Student, which led to a mail-order record business, a discount record store, and eventually the well-known Virgin Records label. He continued to build the Virgin Group into a multinational conglomerate with ventures ranging from airlines (Virgin Atlantic Airways) to telecommunications and space travel (Virgin Galactic).

Sam Walton - also self-made

Trump -NOT self-made, started with millions from his father.

Quote:
Fred Trump — along with the Hyatt hotel chain — jointly guaranteed the $70 million construction loan from Manufacturers Hanover bank, “each assuming a 50 percent share of the obligation and each committing itself to complete the project should Donald be unable to finish it,” according to veteran Trump chronicler Wayne Barrett in his 1992 book, “Trump: The Deals and the Downfall.”

Trump also benefited from three trusts that had been set up for family members. In 1976, Fred Trump set up eight $1 million trusts, one each for his five children and three grandchildren, according to a casino document. (That today would be worth about $4 million in inflation-adjusted dollars.) The casino document lists several other loans from Trump’s father to his son, including a $7.5 million loan with at least a 12 percent interest rate that was still outstanding in 1981.

The Wall Street Journal on Sept. 23 reported that a 1985 casino-license document showed that Donald Trump owed his father and father’s businesses about $14 million.

In a 2007 deposition, Trump admitted he had borrowed “a small amount” from his father’s estate: “I think it was like in the $9 million range.” And as Trump’s casinos ran into trouble, Trump’s father also purchased $3.5 million in gaming chips but did not use them, so the casino would have enough cash to make payments on its mortgage — a transaction that casino authorities later said was an illegal loan

Fake image of Trump going to work in DC:

It looks like residents are still sleeping.

But Trump almost got killed with a piercing bullet to his ear so he seems to be working around the clock like a machine to root-out the criminals.

It's not a swamp.

It's an ocean.

He’s right and wrong. He certainly had substantial advantages over you and I, but however he started, he turned millions into billions. You may not want to confer on him ‘self made’. But he certainly has been wildly successful as a businessman. I’m not turning my million into a billion anytime soon.

It isn’t just the cash. He built an entire billion dollar brand. When I was doing mortgages we had someone in a Trump unit. Right there there was a mystique about it. He has a reality show. How many developers can say that? He owned Monday Night Raw (kayfabe) and doubled his money. And his brand made him the first non military non politician POTUS unless someone can show me another one. That’s all self made.

The average person might have just bought one more building for the family business. Trump took risks. Some hit some failed. But many businessmen have failures along the way.

Trump had more than 1 million to work with. Do you have the backing of a multi-millionaire father to take out a 70 million loan? Did you leave your father with 14 million unpaid?

And ignoring bankruptcies? Far as I know, us ordinary people are judged on credit rating due to bankruptcies.

He's not right at all, he's wrong.

Age 3 (1949): Trust funds established by his father, Fred Trump, began to provide Donald with a consistent income stream. For example, he was a beneficiary of ground leases from his father's Beach Haven Apartments, earning the equivalent of $200,000 a year in today's dollars.

What was SOOPOO making when he was 3 years old?

Business bankruptcies happen. The happen when you go out in the world and build businesses instead of giggling about spending your life in “public service “ and whatever is do great about that I have no idea.

Could the average person have turned $1 million into billions? Doubtful at best.
