I’ve seen plenty of discussions by right wingers suggesting private investment replace SS. I know you can’t figure out the rest on your own why it could possibly have been a replacement suggestion but in your case, I don’t help the learning impaired.

This may be the dumbest Trump thing I have read.

Trump wants to honor the Confederacy by naming bases after Confederate generals/leaders. However, we have a federal law prohibiting such (which actually went into effect during his first term.)

So instead he is going to find random soldiers with the same names as the various leaders and say the base is honoring them. Literally going through records of millions of past and current soldiers to find people that have identical names to Confederate leaders.

This is another level of lunacy ... This is like that thing you do in grade school when you write a nasty letter about somebody and the teacher calls you out... "oh it wasn't about this John Smith, I was writing it about John Smith from that book...."

Some people who receive the $1,000 PURELY meant for the new baby will most likely blow it on themselves anyway and NOT their new baby. One of my Customers bragged on the phone," I'm buying cigarettes and wine for myself with the child support money." 😡🤬 I was disgusted. 😡🤬 Child support money is meant PURELY for the CHILD, not for Mom to buy cigarettes and wine with the child support money. 😡🤬 I hope that the person she bragged to reported her for misappropriation of child support money. No Karen, child support money is not purely for the child.

In fact the money is typically blended with the recipient's own funds and used as she / he wishes to pay for the expenses of daily life for themself and their progeny.

The recipient is not required to show that all of the money was used only for child-related expenses: no "audit" in that regard is done.

Sadly you are correct in that the mother does not have to show how she spent it. If we had honest family courts she would have to!

Probably should give parents of new babies child support supplies. With every new baby recieving the exact same supplies, the value of selling them on the market goes to about zero to turn to cash. You'd have to try to sell them to other countries.

Food stamps don't really prevent that since food can be used to trade. If every new baby gets 10 large cartons of diapers distributed over time, how are you going to convert it with everyone getting them?
