There's absolutely no chance that the current peace plan will be acceptable to Ukraine EVEN IF it's acceptable to Putin It would be illegal for Zelenskyy to agree to concede Crimea. He quite simply cannot sign a deal conceding that without a change in Ukrainian Constitution. Such change could not possibly happen without a referendum..... An impossible referendum in a nation where 20% of the country is in enemy hands. I get that a deal IS not close and that drumph is talking nonsense. What I don't get is why is drumph proclaiming this lie at this time? Who is he trying to fool? What's his game plan? Is it really an effective way to lay blame on Zelensky as he walks away in failure. When no deal is agreed, will drumph still have the brass neck to claim that he came up with a great deal, as he'd promised, if only..... ? |
