They did "beat him" in court by finding him to be a felon and a sexual assaulter.

Alas, his crooked cronies on the USSC gave him a bye in exchange for being appointed: "quid pro quo."

He had legal representation and had his day in court, the same as any of us would. No, you are politicizing this to secure some form of perceived advantage when there is none. He's a crook...always was, always will be.
