This reminds me of when Trump was running against HRC. They asked ‘Joe in the street’ to assess certain proclamations Trump made, and they all berated Trump for saying them. Until the interviewer informed the citizens that it was actually Obama who said it…….

But to be fair, Trumps biggest campaign promises are only hitting 50-50. He’s trying to deport illegal criminal aliens. Check. He’s ending DEI costs to the government. Check. He’s helping Israel and targeting antisemitism far more than the Dems. Check. I’ll hold off on criticizing his Ukraine stances until next week after we see if there really is a cease fire. Tariffs- failure on so many levels. Economy…. doesn’t look like inflation is controlled. Fail. Haphazard Federal firings/program eliminations. Fail. Treating our foreign allies as allies. Fail. Stock market. FAIL.

Overall I’m not happy with how he’s handled things. But if push came to shove, I still think it’s better overall than same old/same old a Harris/Walz administration would have led to. And let’s be honest, he’s FAR more interesting!

I saw an old clip of Obama calling out the same kind of waste Trump has. Just that Obama never did anything about it.

Jury still out on tariffs and the economy. Economy has been a Potemkin Village under Biden. Lots of the "added jobs" were just government jobs.

On the federal "eliminations" I like it so far. People who say "use a scalpel not a chainsaw" in reality just want no cuts.

All in all I am happy so far.
