the Vance-bashing thread already exists

I can see amongst our resident Jacobins a similar Walz thread is intolerable

Feel free to bash him all you want.

The guy who believes there are no straight pedophiles called him “weird” a few posts above. You are in great company.

Tim Walz is no centrist

The waltz he spins is a silent theft,
A dance of taking, with nothing left.

from the poem chatgpt wrote for me, which didn't know I would use it this way

[instructed to write a poem about a asset grabbing communist doing a waltz, and which I altered a little]

In a grand hall draped in velvet red,
Comrade Walz spins with a heart full of lead.
His hands reach out, not for a lover’s grace,
But to seize what’s left in this hallowed place.

His boots, once worn on the factory floor,
Now tap in rhythm on the mansion's floor.
Each turn he takes, a careful plot,
To claim the wealth that others got.

He waltzes not for the common good,
But to grab what he can, where the riches stood.
His eyes are sharp, his grip is tight,
In this dance of power, there’s no wrong or right.

He whispers sweetly of the people's gain,
But his steps betray a different strain.
The waltz he spins is a silent theft,
A dance of taking, with nothing left.

Around the ballroom, he twirls with ease,
Collecting treasures like fallen leaves.
The workers’ dreams, he once held dear,
Now fuel a greed he won’t let clear.

And as the music begins to fade,
He surveys the spoils his dance has made.
For in this waltz, no one leads,
But he walks away with the wealth he needs.

The banner red still flutters high,
But beneath it, shadows softly lie.
The dance is done, the wealth is his,
In a world where power makes the final bid.

Walz seems incredibly likable and friendly. I can see why odiousgambit is triggered by him.

Here is his wonderful speech from last night for those who missed:

so you want some evidence I guess?

Well, Walz when a teacher, he told students that Chinese communism is a system in which “everyone shares.” As governor, Walz’s advice to politicians was “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”

Big deal
I took political science class at university of MD.
Professor Don Devine
He argued passionately for all political systems including communism and socialism
Great professor. I had no idea he was a righty
So hard core right, Reagan hired him

This would be funny if it actually made sense. Pu$$y-grabbing is the only part of that that could apply to Bill Clinton.

Don’t quit your day job, Duffman. (Or any of the million side hustles you have to do to get by).

I would guess that applies to most heterosexual men. Most of us just do it in private.

This is pretty weak. I have taken many high school and college history and political classes, teachers have said positive things about the third Reich. It's pretty normal in academics to look at the positives along with the negatives of various systems. "Everyone Shares" is kind of a generic thing said about communism, my high school history teachers said similiar phrases to help you remeber.

As for socialism, this is not communism. Bernie Sanders is a socialist. And, he was making a neighborly equivalence, not even talking about political issues.

The fact that this kind of stuff and which position he was slotted in on the Army are the only points of attack against Walz, shows me that he is a solid canidate. He is more likable than the whole GOP ticket combined. The more I listen to him the more I agree with him being chosen.
