That cop who said he backed off after the gunman aimed his rifle at him is a liar.

No one confronted the shooter.

A cop should have been stationed on the roof of every building within 200 yds. of the stage.

'Video shows Trump gunman crawling on roof while multiple people alert police: ‘He’s on the roof!’

Yet you post an article confirming that the shooter was confronted. The article recounts the confrontation.

WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - Within hours of the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump, many of his supporters began laying blame on Democrats, seeking to flip the script on who has stoked America’s heated political rhetoric as cases of political violence reach historic heights.
From establishment Republicans to far-right conspiracy theorists, a consistent message emerged that President Joe Biden and other Democratic leaders laid the groundwork for Saturday’s shooting by casting Trump as an autocrat who poses a grave threat to democracy.

A Reuters analysis of more than 200 incidents of politically motivated violence between 2021 and 2023, however, presented a different picture: In those years, fatal political violence more often emanated from the American right than from the left.[40]

This is well known. The right wing conducts far more political violence (significant majority.) Then they act like super victims on the rare occasions that they receive violence and talk about how it is the fault of the left.

And, this is just in America, if you are speaking internationally, the right wing is like 99%

However, this (Trump shooting) is right wing violence as well, because the shooter was a Republican, and we do not have any motives to suggest otherwise.

And, before people talk about him giving money to some left wing groups, that was somebody of the same name, almost 3x the shooters age.... That whole talking point was a distraction by the right wing where they tried to conflate somebody of the same name as a distraction to make him look like a secret Democrat agent (besides the fact that such donations also would have been long before turning 18....)

The right wing is more violent politically, I don't think this should be debatable.

You need to get your news somewhere reliable. Left wing violence is everywhere and far more and worse than the right. Start with global warming demotions violent.

What source is better than Reuters? It is the gold standard. You can't just call down up and expect that to work here. I have long said the right is more violent when it comes to political violence. This remains true. Since 2020 it has actually increased.

In the 1920s-1950s when many racist terror groups were Democrat run, this was not the case. But, in 2024 (and since at least 1990,) it has been the case.

I am happy to look at whatever stats you provide.

Before I accept them, I want to see detail of what is considered "violence" and by who. I am not just buying a media summary. I see lots of violence from the left but little from the right. Just watch the news. Then I am expected to believe the opposite? Not going to happen.

Good example is people who say the attempt on Trump is "from the right" because the guy was a registered Republican. That is like saying a gay guy with a beard wife is not really gay. You have to look at actions. And since the 1960s the violence has mostly came from the left. Heck, look at the riot the left caused when a group was having a peaceful and permitted demonstration. The one where Trump said there were good people on both sides. The violence was from the left.

The left stormed SCOTUS because they did not like a justice that got confirmed. They disrupt conservative speakers on college campuses all the time. They have thrown pies at Ann Coulter. The left is simply where most of the violence comes from, anyone looking curiously can see that. Those who just read one article the other way and say, "yup, it is the right" are the ones who would have believed Pravda articles.

Look just at the number of people who threatened election officials in 2020, this alone puts it over the edge. The right is more violent.

Political violence is quite specific and clearly defined.

The guy who shot Trump was a registered Republican that is the fact. The right, said they found records of him donating to some left wing group 3-4 years ago (when he was 17,) and the guy they cited was in his 60s (a different man of the same name.) And, this was the ultimate proof of the right for several hours before they realized how foolish it looked. But, the voter registration is not fake, we know he is a Republican. And, we know he is only 20, so he did not register as a Republican 40 years ago and never bother to change it, he Registered Republican for this coming election.

Yes, some people stormed the Supreme Court, and over 100 got arrested with serious charges (as they should,) the fact that I can say this while you defend the people killing cops in the capitol building is quite rich.....

Today is not just some isolated incident.

The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.

That rhetoric led directly to President Trump's attempted assassination.

This guy claims that Reuters is the "gold standard" because he says so. He probably thinks the same thing about CNN and MSNBC. 😂😂

And I burst out laughing when he said that the guy who shot Trump was from the RIGHT lol...........I swear you can't make this stuff up. 🤣

“I Didn’t Say ‘Crosshairs!'” – Biden Remains Defiant as Lester Holt Confronts Him on ‘Trump in the Bullseye’ Comment One Week Before Assassination Attempt (VIDEO)

Lester Holt confronted Joe Biden about his threatening and dehumanizing language that led to the attempted assassination against President Trump.

You called President Trump “an existential threat” and said it’s time to put him “in the bullseye,” Lester Holt said to Joe Biden.

“I didn’t say ‘crosshairs,'” Biden said.
