I would guess she has friends of her own age. I can't imagine she likes to constantly hang around with his older group, women or men. 23 year old should have too much energy to hang constantly with older seniors.

I think the fact he has a a bunch of zeros and a couple of commas to the left of the decimal point in the bank may have something to do with it as well...
