I'm sure Trumps deregulation was on track to kill all the whales, seals, polar bears, small children, indigenous people, poison the water, cause oil spills, pollute the air, raise the CO2, flood low lands, and release the Kracken. But other than that... no problem.

According got the EPA in June 2020: In the past three years under President Trump, we saw the following drops in emissions of criteria and precursor pollutants:

There are graphs for each of these pollutants. Statista is a good source.

Nitrogen oxide ↓ 14 percent
PM 2.5 ↓ 4 percent
PM10 ↓ 2 percent
Sulfur dioxide ↓ 35 percent
Carbon monoxide ↓ 8 percent
Volatile Organic Compounds ↓ 5 percent

As a result of these falling emissions under President Trump, in 2019 we saw a significant improvement in air quality. From 2018 – 2019, the number of days listed as unhealthy for sensitive groups dropped by 40 percent as the amount of criteria pollutants in our air continued to fall:

Lead (3-month average) ↓ 20 percent
Fine particulates (24-hour) ↓ 19 percent
Large particulates (24-hour) ↓ 17 percent
Carbon monoxide ↓ 10 percent
Ozone ↓ 6 percent
Sulfur dioxide ↓ 6 percent
Nitrogen dioxide (annual) ↓ 4 percent

Sorry, I'm inclined to suspect it was a massive change of habits due to the coronavirsu.

Fracking was a huge reason. Provided clean natural gas that replaced coal.

Also, I’m suspicious of the reporting under Trump.

The decrease in bad emissions that occurred under Trump were most certainly mostly due to the coronavirus shutdowns.
The increase in mortgage rates combined with massive inflation was most certainly a result of Biden (or Democrat if you don’t want to just blame Biden) multi trillion dollar unfunded spending habits.

I don’t know how an ‘average’ working Joe can afford a small house here now. And I live in a low housing cost area! The small house across the street just sold for $450k. My bigger, better lot, nicer plot, on the cul de sac, house was just $260k just 7 years ago. It’s gotta be more than double that now. Both are technically only two bedrooms. $550k for a two bedroom in a suburb of BUFFALO?

That June 2020 EPA report, only covers 2017-2019. Those are pre-pandemic numbers.

“From 2017 to 2019, the combined emissions of criteria and precursor pollutants dropped 7 percent.”

“In the past three years under President Trump, we saw the following drops in emissions of criteria and precursor pollutants:”

"As a result of these falling emissions under President Trump, in 2019 we saw a significant improvement in air quality. From 2018 – 2019, the number of days listed as unhealthy for sensitive groups dropped by 40 percent as the amount of criteria pollutants in our air continued to fall:"

I have reasons to be suspicious.

Quote:
After drawing criticism for inaccurately warning over the weekend that Alabama could get hit by Hurricane Dorian -- even after government meteorologists disputed that was the case -- President Donald Trump on Wednesday held up a map that appeared to have a line drawn on it in black making it seem as if he had been right all along.

(MORE: Hurricane Dorian latest: 7 killed in Bahamas, 1 dead in North Carolina as storm moves north)
In an Oval Office briefing on Dorian, Trump displayed a National Hurricane Center map from last Thursday -- which he said showed an early projection of the storm.

I know what his administration environmental plans were as well at the time.

Of course you are.

If the report was faked, you'd think the folks in government who hate Trump would have leaked info to contradict the official report.

Good energy and climate policy, instead of the farce that Biden has created, would help reduce pollution while leaving us less reliable on others for products.

Biden's policy is horrible.

Besides, we can break our country while India and China pollute as much as they want and we'll still all die from the change in climate in the end. We'll just be much poorer while doing it.

We can lead, have a sane policy, and put pressure on others.

It just requires leadership.

Kinda funny to see all the guys who doubt every positive jobs report under Biden clutch their pearls over anyone who doesn’t automatically believe every report that Donny’s corrupt admin put out.

Are you going to deny that deregulation is a primary conservative principle? It's definitely the operating principle of the conservative side of the party, the wing conservatives operate from which Trump represents. I already am well aware of the motives and where it will lead whether it gets there right away or not.

I know where conservatives put the highest priority when push comes to shove. And environment regulations are down the scale quite a bit. This is enhanced on the objection to practically any taxation they don't think is necessary.

They'd defund the EPA and Department of Education if they could.
