Golf carts seem to be the future in some areas with or without golf courses.

I honestly cannot stand golfcarts on the road, it should not be legal (sadly they are legal in my State).

They dart all over the place, and randomly drive on and off sidewalks, then drive 50% of the speed limit, often seem to be driven by people that are blatantly way too young to be driving, I just don't understand why they are so popular.

Yes, I know street legal golfcarts have to have certain equipment (lights signals, etc....) and follow the driving laws, but this is rarely the case, and its virtually never enforced....

In my view if people want to drive them on private property or private roads (private HOA type communities) that is fine, but they should not be on public roads.

Hilarious coming from a guy continually obsessed with male political figures physiques.
That and teenage college boys that evidently are "hot as F*@K"
Not that there is anything wrong with that, right Groomer?

392,592 vehicles were sold in Califonia in 2021 under the Toyota & Lexus and brand.
CARB is going to requires 35% of vehicles sold by 2026 to be zero emission vehicles (35% =137,407 vehicles )

That's a lot of vehicles, significantly more than the most popular Toyota models that Toyota has been selling for decades.

61,599 Camry
59,157 RAV4
48,915 Corolla
44,484 Tacoma
29,598 Highlander
22,310 Prius
16,281 4Runner

12,191 Lexus NX

CARB set a minimum range of 150 miles for a BEV, but they did not set a minimum speed.

Maybe Toyota can commission a Chinese company to make 100,000 LSV that have a 150 mile range and a 25 mph speed. They could rebadge them as Toyota's and sell them at a low price in California to help meet their quota. A Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a street-legal, four-wheeled electric vehicle with a top speed of 25 mph and a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 3000 lb. California Vehicle Code § 21260 governs the use of low-speed vehicles on California streets, including golf carts. The Vehicle Code specifically states that low-speed vehicles cannot be operated on any roadway that has a speed limit over 35 miles per hour.

Toyota is producing the bZ4X but with only 250 deliveries so far they must all be recalled because of a problem with the lug nuts make it possible for the weels to come off. They are not eligible for the $7500 IRS discount because they are not assembled in America, and the specs are actually pretty average. I don't see them selling anywhere near the CARB minimums by 2026.
