I am saying it is not "so fast they have nowhere to put them." 750 over a year. About 2 a day. In a city the size of NYC that you have a so-called pandemic and it leaves 2 people a week who have no relatives or relatives unable to make arrangements due to so much being shut down is not all that hard to believe. Who said it was only 750 over a year? The article states between 500 to 800 at any one time. |

I know the exact date and circumstances of catching it: Sharing a van for a day. About a quarter of the team ( of 20 or so) at work had it within the last two months. Fortunately all had mild symptoms and recovered. The current variant is highly contagious but less harmful. |

It seems to now just be like getting the flu. Had a couple people at work get it the last year. Out a week or so then back. Still a few hard core maskers in the building. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

| OnceDear Member since: Nov 21, 2017 Threads: 15 Posts: 1789 | I'll say that for those of us catching it recently, all vaxxed, it's been far less severe than flu. But it has been easy to catch. Very few now masking up here. |

Seems like we are going to get about a 5% masker rate forever. Similar to Asia I think. There are always some people think they are going to catch anything and everything. I prefer to live in the "gotta die of something" group. Far more fun life. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Agree. I think casino dealers are way above that 5% rate. I of course support their right to mask up, but I just don’t like the feel of it. As you know, I wore a mask at work for 35 years, and was happy to retire and not have to wear one ‘ever again’. Then COVID hit and I was masking up again. No more unless government requires such. I live in NY so it is more likely than if I move to Florida! |
