I knew a guy who was a state senator in Michigan for one term in the 1990s. He didn't run again because he said the corruption at the state level was so unbelievable he couldn't stomach it. We can't even imagine what it's like on the federal level. Everybody is in politics to further themselves and make themselves rich they could give one crap about us. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Nope. "Boat rocking" is OK; "boat burning" is frowned upon. Trump pissed the pols off because he never tried to listen to anyone but himself and the zombies whispering in his ear. He came to DC basically threatening to destroy the federal bureaucracy: what do you expect would happen? Oh, he was no "outsider" to gov't, he'd simply not gotten around to running for anything. |

When a boat gets too rotted to function it is time to burn it. Why do you think so many GOP House Reps retired in 2018? Trump wanted to end the party that we still call Congress.
