Given the cost of an RV and having the time to tour I expect that the demographics are a much older cohort. This group with fully matured brains would certainly favour the right.

You say “fully matured brains,” I say “dementia.”

And that would certainly favor the right.

No kidding
It's like Trumper city in these RV parks
I think the Dems are boondocking in the state parks
Back to nature vs all the comforts of home

Actually, a lot of democrats are living in tents in Portland and begging on freeway offramps.

I’d bet the majority of RV people are righties.

One dirty, little "secret" in America today is that many people who are economically marginal (and thereby likely democrats) are unable to afford to rent or buy a house anymore so they use what money they can scrape up to buy a small used RV to park somewhere and live in.

It is a very common, prevalent problem in Portland: many of the RV's become abandoned eyesores.

The republican party today
Dumb jock, snake oil salesman, habitual liar are common republican qualifications to run for office. Why not a judge that doesn't know the law.
https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/amp/rcna63567
Typically, being qualified for a job is key to actually obtaining that job. This is not true for former Las Vegas City Council member and state Assembly member-turned-soon-to-be-Judge Michele Fiore. Fiore, who just lost her bid to become Nevada’s treasurer, has never practiced law. Indeed, it’s rare to serve as a judge when one has not even attended law school. But more troubling is that Fiore has been the subject of at least one federal investigation and civil suit, has bragged about breaking the state law when she was a member of the state Assembly and previously suggested that law enforcement officers opt not to follow the law. She also appears to seriously lack what the American Bar Association refers to as “judicial temperament.”

I'm getting new respect of Sarah Huckabee, in her role as an idiot.

Quote:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas is temporarily blocked from enforcing a law that would have allowed criminal charges against librarians and booksellers for providing “harmful” materials to minors, a federal judge ruled Saturday.

U.S. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks issued a preliminary injunction against the law, which also would have created a new process to challenge library materials and request that they be relocated to areas not accessible by kids. The measure, signed by Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders earlier this year, was set to take effect Aug. 1.

A coalition that included the Central Arkansas Library System in Little Rock had challenged the law, saying fear of prosecution under the measure could prompt libraries and booksellers to no longer carry titles that could be challenged.

Yup the effect of such a law would make librarians overly cautious and start removing books just on the fear it might be objected to and someone gets prosecuted. Or at the very least, go through a mess of legal trouble even if exonerated. How braindead is Sarah? I didn't agree with her, but she once seemed semi-sentient.

I think she is getting mired into the 'culture wars' way of governing, seeing DeSantis as a guide.

I'd be for the law, myself, except it depends on who gets to be the judge of what is 'harmful'. When it is the people I'd vote for, fine, but when it isn't, maybe say 'trans-phobic' gets to be the definition of 'harmful' ... think of that, Sarah?

took me a moment to understand this chart. Illustrates the difference between 'average' and 'median' , I got that right away, but there seemed to be something missing. Then I saw that the median savings for black and hispanic were so low, $1 and $0 LOL*, that there is nothing there in the columns

The chart shows 'Mean' and 'Median' averages.
If That's for Gen-X ers. in age range 40 to 58, then even the white guys and Asians are going to have a bleak retirement. $189k is very little for a pension fund that you may need to start drawing in ten years for maybe 20 years
Assuming your pension funds are a bit similar to ours, a $500,000 investment pot is about the smallest pot needed to fund a half decent retirement. Your 'Social Security pension, like our UK state pension is not enough to live on beyond absolute subsistance level? Does that chart really say that the MEAN pension fund values of all of those groups is <$200k.
Is there some hidden source of income or wealth that we are missing here? E.g. Is the average guy in line for a $1m inheritance? Or already has a $1m home?
Or do you guys tend to work till you drop?
