Russia is scuttling support for the joint space station. It's too bad, but Putin is an ass. Who knows when we will cooperate with Russia again on much of anything as long a Putin is in power.

From two completely different sources I'm getting the information that the convoy is stalled, the 40 mile convoy has not moved in two days. The Pentagon is saying it, which I don't completely trust, but a retired army military expert is also saying it. He says these vehicles have automatic tire inflators and deflators that let them go through mud by letting air out of the tires or putting air into the tires. This was his job in the Army working on these vehicles. He says from the pictures he's seen they're having major problems because these tire systems have to be exercised on a regular basis or they break down. The Russians are renowned for not taking care of their equipment but just letting it sit and then expecting it to perform flawlessly. And the way these vehicles are lined up if just some of them break down the whole Convoy has to stop. And they're running out of gas and food. And the Pentagon is also reporting that the younger soldiers are deserting because they don't want to attack what they consider to be their own country. Who knows it may be all BS, but it makes sense.

Maybe that's an area where they can't reliably go off the road with those heavy tanks. Seems like otherwise they could just drive around stalled vehicles.

Putin is pounding a lot of buildings from the air. Even if this stalls out he's going to leave a lot of the landscape in rubble.

JPMorgan expects the Russian economy to shrink 35% in the next quarter, and 7% for the year.

To put that into perspective, the US economy shrank 4.2% during the 2007-2009 great recession.

If Biden ever decides to finally stop supporting the Russian military, by ending the $60 billion in daily Russian oil purchases, the Russian economy will contract faster and further.

These people have years of hardship ahead of them.

Sacrifices have to be made in time of war. Especially when the other side, who never bluffs, is threatening nuclear war. Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine, and trying to cause a nuclear meltdown in the largest nuclear plant in Europe. Which will spread nuclear contamination world-wide. Russian oil is only 3% of US oil consumption. We could make up some of the difference by drilling more here. Thanks to Biden's policies, the US is producing 1.7 million fewer barrels per month.

The EastMed pipeline that would have brought Israeli natural gas to Europe, would have eventually helped reduce European reliance on Russian gas, but Biden killed it in January.

What was Biden's reasoning for killing American pipelines and slowing production here, killing the Israeli pipeline, and allowing the Russian pipeline to continue?

I understand going green but you can't do it on a dime and it is like the left does not get that. We needed to keep producing fossil fuels while building infrastructure for greener energy. We also have to have a plan for green when the sun is not out and the wind is blowing too little or too much. We are far from ready from prime time.

Toss the Ukraine issue on top of it, and you have a mess.

Lefties here keep talking about how Putin had Trump's pee tape. Hell, maybe he did. The thing is it seems that he also has Biden's balls. Or maybe Biden and his lefty friends are just not smart enough to know that it isn't extremely bright to burn your house down before your new one is ready.

Stop buying Russian oil. Encourage production here. I'll pay the extra dime and not complain about that...but I will still complain about the other inflation. Biden can't take credit for improvements in the economy without taking criticism for problems with the economy.

Biden is doing infinitely better than Donny would have in this situation.

And before one of our members who has been affected by Fox brain worms replies that “Putin never would have invaded if Donny were president.” This is true, but not because Donny was strong and Biden is weak. Donny was giving Putin everything he wanted: weakening NATO and undermining the EU. Of course Putin wasn’t going to rock the boat while his puppet was doing all his bidding.
