I find it odd that no one is suggesting we can cut buying Russian oil for a month or two or maybe three. Suggesting the only choice is to upend energy policy completely for years to come is unnecessary.

As long as people can agree to suck it up. And if we're able to supply areas that need it most. Rationing if necessary.

No more cruises or trips to Vegas and no more touring in an RV suck it up boys.

Do you really think a few months will make any difference? All that happens in that time line is Ukraine is taken over, the invasion is out of the news loop and Biden quietly starts buying Russian oil again, if he actually ever stops buying.

You got the idea, but you still didn't get it. What we do 3 months from now probably won't matter to Ukraine. Ukraine is the immediate problem now. Either we can try to do everything we can now, or we don't. If most people won't support it, than I guess we won't do it.

Since you've already written them off as done for, no use taking your advice about it.

I am just a realist, they can't defend themselves against Russia and by the time NATO gets off the pot it will be a done deal. I wish I could see a way out, if you can I would be glad to support your way if you can convince me it is viable.

Stopping Russian oil imports to the US would require no sacrifice at all. It was only 3% of our imports in 2021 and decreasing. January imports from Russia were near zero.

Eliminating Putin, either through internal or external means of assassination, is becoming the best option to save lives in Ukraine, avoid gas prices jump and prevent further escalation.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is investigating the Russian invasion. I wonder if Ruasia will cooperate with the ICC investigation?

This is beyond the ICC, but I hope this is the flash in the pan that causes the international community to start disarming Russia when this ends, we don't need two enemies armed with Nukes (China is enough).

What could possibly compel the insane war criminal Putin, to give up his 6,000 warhead nuclear arsenal?

Russia holds drills with nuclear subs, land-based missiles

A missle fired from a sub 200 miles off our coast, can hit NYC and D.C. within five minutes after launch.

He has proven he doesn't bluff.

He intends to use his nuclear missiles.

I would bet that he doesn't use nukes unless other countries get involved in the combat. I do not see him nuking Ukraine.

Especially when he intends to annex it.

He intends to use his nukes against the West. Especially the US.

Well if the ICC incarcerates him for 30 years (which for him would basically be a life sentence). And, we are able to get a more liberal person in power in Russia who is not obsessed with nuclear weapons.

But, first we need to make sure he gets charged, and then is able to he is aomwhow compelled to show up to The Hague for trial.
