A bold play: it's about time

It's close to being a clause prohibiting payouts for suicides; given what we know, people refusing to take the vaccine and then dying from covid are akin to suicides.

It's sort of like if meteor showers were about to pummel the surface of the earth and the government told citizens to seek shelter underground and in caves, and some hold outs said "Nope, not me."

Death benefits (if offered) should have clear contractual terms anyway. Seems to me that this just opens the door to finding other reasons (not made known ahead of time) not to pay out death benefits.

Of course it is. Just like a hospital will write down that somebody died from covid if he died in a motorcycle accident and happened to have covid. This will give employers insurance companies ways to weasel out of paying. My wife's nephew is a insurance adjuster for major major insurance company that everybody here has heard of. He says his major job is to screw people out of as much money as he possibly can when settling a claim. That's how he keeps his job. He says insurance companies primary goals are to promise you one thing and then screw you. He says the best way to beat the insurance adjuster is to wear him down, stick with a figure and don't budge no matter what he tells you. Because 90% of what he tells you is going to be a lie. He will eventually get tired of dealing with you and pay off. This guy makes a great insurance adjuster because he's a giant prick in real life and he really enjoys the job.

If there is going to be a meteor shower I am not holing up in some cave. I am going to the backyard with a cooler of beer, crack one open, and watch.
