The fractured democratic party is the problem as it prevents then from acting as a unified front; you'd best hope it continues, just like you'd best hope the arabs remain at each other's throats over what has to be the biggest BS issue of all time, which lead to the Sunni/Shiite schism.

No, WWII got us out of the Depression. Liberalism made it longer and deeper.

LBJ destroyed the black family and made a permanent underclass.

You beat me to it. World War most definitely got us out of the Great Depression, Roosevelt was just making it worse. And the welfare act created a class of people that we never had before, a permanent underclass of fatherless families and mothers raising future drug addicts and gang members. Thanks LBJ..

The Taliban wants Aid to Afghanistan, but is now backpaddling and will not guarantee to assist to combat ISIS or to not harbor international terrorists...

My guess is we are one terror attack away from having to go back.

Because it will go like this: Group X operates out of Afghanistan, blows up something, U.S. demands Taliban turn over the group leaders, Taliban refuse, repeat of 2001....

Wrong. The war only provided temporary relief. The unemployed soldiers then needed jobs and the demand for war goods shut down that industry.

The economy wasn't magically fixed on its own after the war.

The USA economy BOOMED after WWII. A very short, sharp recession as business switched away from wartime production. After that, B-O-O-M. Returning GIs bought cars, houses, and everything to fill those houses.

You said the war ended the depression. That's not factual. It just provided temporary employment. It wasn't a fix.

If it was, explain how. You won't be able to. Get your facts straight.
