And perhaps instead of Tesla's idea of a drop out battery back,....

That wasn't Tesla's idea. The now defunct Israeli company, Better Place was swapping batteries more than thirteen years ago, in a one-minute process.

Who would have guessed, people would rather wait six hours or longer for their batteries to charge, after waiting hours in line to get to the charger.

Wireless cellphone chargers. Cars next?

'New electric vehicle charging research could allow drivers to power their cars as they drive on the highway'

"Highways would have a charging lane, sort of like a high occupancy lane," Afridi told Insider. "If you were running out of battery you would move into the charging lane. It would be able to identify which car went into the lane and it would later send you a bill."

Thomas Edison quote, “I have not failed. I have just found 9,999 ways that do not work’.

Michael Jordon also likes to quote how much he failed. Like missing the basket 9000 times.

Leave it up to some people and we would have quit because the horses were spooked by combustion engines.
