Robert Conrad played him in a TV movie I remember liking it a lot I think he told his govt handler, if I need to stand on a street corner to be shot, I'll be there Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I read a few biographies on him. I liked him. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

I listened to his radio show everyday for a couple of years about 20 years ago. He was a for real tough guy. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

According to Henry Hill he screwed up in prison. He was in Allenwood, among the easiest of the Club Fed locations. But he started a hunger strike getting 50 or so guys to follow along. The federal system might not be as tough as state systems, but the feds have little tolerance for nonsense. So they loaded them all up and sent them to Atlanta, where you could be stabbed for taking a donut from the wrong race table. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
