Not relevant to this election result, but am I the only one that thinks that a recount resulted in a 130+ vote change is quite pathetic? Why can't we arrange to have people that are able to COUNT correctly the first time? I think we need an investigation as to HOW someone can MISCOUNT by over 100!!!

Actually, it's worse than you think. 130 is the net change.
Biden gained 257 votes, trump gained 125.
In one case, it was a packet of found ballots that were never scanned, that the election committee voted unanimously to open and scan.

The Dominion-style voting machines, where counts are recorded directly from the votes on the screen, rather than having to electronically scan a ballot, is supposed to help with this sort of situation, but even with that, thousands of votes turned up in GA because some of the SD cards that were recording the votes were left in the machines rather than being pulled and downloaded.

Have you ever had to take inventory of a large storage or warehouse? One full of lots of small items? If you have you know how hard it is to get a 100% accurate count.

Or another way. Did you ever read about the Stardust slot skim? It worked because the coins were weighed and not counted because there were so many.

The difficulty in counting is yet another reason some of us are so dead set against mail-in voting.

There's no hand counting until a race is close enough, or has some other challenge.

You can't avoid hand counting when there is a challenge, so I don't see as it makes a difference.
