Don’t you live in NY? Not like your vote would have swung the state to Trump.

Oh right, EvenBob predicts Donny will win NY!

Agreed - a Republican vote in NY is meaningless anyway but, I vote anyway though on principle

Why not in that case vote for someone who isn't Biden and isn't Trump?

Strong third-party showings will help convince people to vote for who they really want to, rather than having to settle for a candidate from one of the two main parties.

We are stuck with a two-party system - I wish we weren't but we are
Money talks and the other parties will never out fundraise the 2 main parties

Please be advised that, should POTUS Trump nominate Amy Coney Barrett for the SCOTUS, I will recuse myself from voting this election

I am starting to believe Ace.
Lagoa is the right pick for a lot of reasons
Woman, 1st generation immigrant family, knows what socialism really is based on Cuban heritage.
Finally, she was confirmed to Court of Appeals by a 80-15 vote by this same Senate in November 2019.
Tough to argue that she was such a strong nominee for the Court of Appeals and not as good a SCOTUS nominee.
I mean the Dems are going to tie themselves in knots to say she is unfit for SCOTUS.
They will be similar to the Kavanaugh lies & actually I would love for those Dem Senators to be on display in October.
Particularly Heels Up Harris, she didn't gain any votes for her treatment of Kavanaugh
She'll hurt Sleepy Joe, but then again he is going to sink his own ship next Tuesday night so it likely won't matter.

Yeah ACB basically sides with the government on everything (sided with Gov. Pritzker on discriminatory lockdown measures

I know nothing about ACB or Lagoa other than they’re both conservative.

Based solely on the headshots they keep showing on the news when discussing the options, Lagoa looks much more likable.

It will be interesting to see if the existing Supremes have learned from RBG's mistake of not resigning during Obama Admin.
If Biden wins in November, Breyer should step down within the first two years of the Harris Administration.
The GOP Senate would have to confirm a Heels Up Nominee in 2022.

If Trump is re-elected & GOP holds 50+ Senate seats after 2020, I wonder if Thomas, will step down at 74?
Likely depends on what the Senatorial races look like that year, he may hold on until 76.
Retiring before the end of Trump's second term with a GOP Senate would be a smart move.
Gives Donny another Justice to appoint that would be in their early 50's.
You'd end up with the following years of birth for the 6 conservatives on the bench:

Lagoa 1967 or ACB 1972
Gorsuch 1967
Kavanaugh 1965
Roberts 1955
Alito 1950
& a Thomas replacement presumably in the early 1970's birth year range.
Plus you would have Breyer (1938) in RBG's shoes attempting to hang on for 4 more years and making it to 86!
"It's a bold strategy, Cotton! Let's see how it works out for him!"

The Dems should be pissed at RBG, she screwed them big time.
Why the hell is an 80 year old previously diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer not stepping down in 2013?
Did she think she had some monopoly on liberal juris prudence for which Obama couldn't find a replacement.
Just selfish that she put her octogenarian years of judicial service ahead of the liberal long term vision for the Country.
Are they selling memorial flags for RBG?
I may have to pick one up as a I have suddenly become a big fan of her and her impact on the future of America!

She said why. She was told a
Hillary win was bought and
paid for and RBG wanted
her vacancy filled by the
first woman president. She
might have been an 80 pound
midget, but she had an ego
as big as Montana. In her
mind she was the most important
Justice on the bench and her
position had to be treated as
sacred.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Yeah, you don't understand the difference.
In 2016, a duly elected GOP majority Senate decided on whether they wanted to vote on nominee confirmation.
In 2020, a duly elected GOP majority Senate will decide on whether they wanted to vote on nominee confirmation.
See the difference?
Sadly, I don't think he does.

What experience does she even have being a judge?
She's a libbie and that's all she needs from the libbies point of view. 🙄

Roe may be revisited and if it is and is found to be faulty then so be it.
It sure needs to be.

I agree that if RBG KNEW Trump was going to win she would have resigned when Obama could replace her. She rolled the dice.... and LOST! I think that the power of the Supreme Court is overstated. I’d go President>Congress>Supreme Court>the people.

SCOTUS is not supposed to be what it has become, but since Roe the left thinks it is a "do over" for Congress if they do not "get it right." Note how they claim one party "controls" it.
The President is a fink.
