terapined Member since: Aug 6, 2014 Threads: 73 Posts: 11791 | I hope everyone is doing well, even those on the right. Even the ones I have blocked :-) Curious of the members status during this historic crisis. I am BORED For the 1st time ever in my life, tons and tons of free time I do a lot of bike riding and golf once a week. Not much else to do since everything else closed Right now sitting in my open garage listening to music and surfing the internet. Going to finish up a game of Civilization V. I voted 'retired', although I spend around 4 hours a week now remotely on conference calls and the like regarding the virus and its effect on Anesthesiology, anesthesia practices, and other such stuff. Why only golf once a week? If I was your neighbor, I'd be chasing the white ball around almost daily...... I've been going outside for walks, and wifey just started joining me. |

RonC Member since: Nov 7, 2012 Threads: 8 Posts: 2510 | Working from home as usual. Very little face-to-face contact with customers since the lock down/stay-at-home stuff. Business is 80% or better of normal and even busy at times. We do have people with more customer contact, which is a concern but it is part of IT. Fix what you can remotely, but not everything will work that way. Customers still buying new stuff. It is a little more boring because there are a lot of people I saw regularly pre-Coronavirus. Everyone is itching to get back to a little normalcy. All grocery shopping done via curbside pickup for 3 weeks now. I did a pickup this morning; the store looked less crowded that last week. We have missed one vacation so far; a second one is in peril. Saved a lot of money! We'll have to see what the "re-opening" plans are, along with the virus numbers, before heading anywhere. |

Emails from clients requesting this or that have finally gotten to a handleable range. It is weird, like being a survivor of sorts. No change in work income, OT even still mandatory. Yet hear news of the depression around you. The President is a fink. |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | Only thing changed for me is I haven't been to the casino since end of Jan when I got sick. And now they're all closed. Luckily I got $1200 from Trump, but that's just a small portion of what I'm missing. Other than that, my life is exactly the same. If you take a risk, you may lose. Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | Still in my unit at the Poorhouse recovering slowly from massive blood loss due to contraindicated drug they Rx'd and trying to recover from massive weight gain their dietary advice caused. I only rarely make it the 16 feet to the front bench, so how can I exercise enough to lose weight? Still living on MOW deliveries which are 3x a week with six feet separation. May do supermarket delivery service soon for water and stuff. No gambling, not even online, |

Exercise has nothing to do with weight loss, that's a fact. It's a myth. It's all what carbs you put in your mouth. Stick with under 20 g of carb a day and 1500 calories and you'll lose weight. I remember Rush losing 100 pounds with no exercise at all. And I've done it numerous times. For instance , one slice of bread has 28 g of carb. One medium potato has 37 g. One cup of rice has 45 g. Those types of foods are poison to the obese. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
