I can't claim to be an expert on NY essential business and why a soda store (I presume?) is.

But, a gold course is certainly not essential....

I live in a state with the opposite mentality, virtually everything is open except for clubs, bars, adult type places, and beauty shops, and people are being idiotic. It is worse because the Govenor drafted it in such a way to overrule county and city restrictions that were in place (and far stricter) in most major cities and tourist areas.... And, after his foolishness it is actually getting worse because now cities cannot regulate who enters and exits..... Honestly people were begging for him to act, but he acted in a way which supersedes a lot of local policies that were put in place, and now people are traveling through counties freely, it is crazy....

I didn't say it was essential. I just said that a leader would determine that the risk is so low, with appropriate social distancing rules, that the benefit of not destroying another group of small businesses outweighs the miniscule risk of keeping them open. Our governor won't put in the effort to have that thought; he is too busy fighting with Trump.

It was not a soda store. All it is is a free standing building that gives you the nickel deposit back. I got $12 after the $1.50 tip.
Supermarkets redeem them as well, but you have to stuff them one by one in a disgusting machine. It was worth the $1.50 to have the kid just count them.

Because when people golf it gives the mentality that it's okay to be outside and around. People need to get used to quarantine.

People do not need to leave their house for nonessential reasons (which golf 100% is).

Why do you like a police state so much? "Quarantine" is when you are not allowed out because you are sick. We are under house arrest.

Chill out
I'm not hurting anybody
I can be socially distant and still play golf
Separate carts. We don't touch the pin.
I am not within 6 feet of anybody while playing 18 holes
Its essential for my exercise and providing jobs at the course.

I don't get it. Doing things that safely allow you to get out, breathe fresh air, exercise, and enjoy freedom from your home is good, not bad. No, you can't go play basketball or soccer...too close of contact. Golf? Running? Walking? Cycling? Shooting on open ranges (not crowded inside ones)? All of those are things that help people maintain their sanity AND keep a safe distance from other inhabitants of the planet.

Now you are just rubbing it in. My NV unemployment claim hasn't been updated at all since the day I filed it (March 22). And, all of our golf courses closed last week.

Sounds like NV needs to get its act together
People are depending on these checks to put food on the table
No action since Mar 22 is criminal in my opinion
The gazillions unemployed from casinos are pay check to pay check with no savings type of employees

I thought you loved loved LOVED
Fredo's brother and want him as
president. He's way too ugly and
nasty looking to ever be president
of anything.

My wife drinks a LOT of diet Pepsi. Always from a can. She sometimes will open one, take a few sips, and leave it to get flat, then get a new one.

I could never be married to someone
who did that, it would drive me insane.
It's what kids do. You must have unlimited

I agree. Didn't agree with closing parks. Letting people know what you can and can't do in the park is what you enforce. If the parks are too crowded or people won't follow the rules, then close them down. I have no problem with that. In fact, slam them shut immediately, if you can't get compliance, because people need to take it seriously, but there's no reason why they can't be out in a safe manner until then.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Hell, in MI our lovely gov, Wicked Witless,
won't even let us buy a can of paint or
new underwear. She has those parts
of Walmart and other stores fenced off
because they aren't 'essential'.
