Yes. Much better off.

I will still be better of if the market drops a lot more. Income is probably more secure if it drops and the investments that I have grew a lot over the past few years.

Unlike what your comment implies, and what many folks from your side are doing, I am not rooting for Republicans, Democrats, Independents, etc. to be worse off just to help one party have a better chance at the White House. I wouldn't do that in any case.

NOBODY on the left wants to see more deaths from the virus. This statement excludes extremists which are insane anyway and should be ignored
NOBODY on the left wants to see the stock market crashing. This statement excludes extremists which are insane anyway and should be ignored
If the media reports on deaths, that is not rooting for deaths
If the media reports on a stock market crash, that is not rooting for a crash
If the silver lining of all this causes Trump to be a 1 term President, its just a silver lining on a bad situation but we are not rooting for a bad situation

""I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point," he said, talking about the booming economy. "And by the way, I'm hoping for it because one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy.

"Sorry if that hurts people, but it's either root for a recession or you lose your democracy."--Bill Maher

"But some of the president’s opponents are greeting economic jitters with a surprising response: Bring on the recession!"

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/08/dont-root-for-a-recession/596500/

"Over the past few months, anti-Trumpers have often asked me (hopefully, wistfully) about the likelihood that the economy will crater. After all, conventional wisdom says a strong economy in an election year helps the incumbent; if the economy tanks, perhaps Trump’s reelection chances would, too."

"After HBO's Bill Maher said the "bright side" to the coronavirus -- which has already killed 3,000 people -- is that it will "finally" change "people's views of Donald Trump,""

If you are talking about it as the silver lining, and you are a reasonable Liberal/Democrat, don't you think others a little less reasonable than you are rooting for it to be bad for him (and bad for the country) at least a little bit?

I assume this is referring to me.

I definitely do not want the stock market to crash. Sorry to disrupt your narrative!

I guess you forgot your earlier post here:

http://diversitytomorrow.com/thread/1986/577/#post136351

I quote (emphasis mine):

"Let’s see how his administration’s massive mishandling of the coronavirus and the ensuing market crash affects his approval. :)"

Notice the smiley face at the end?

Sorry to disrupt your denial.
