And kind of lame to kill Sarah Connor off with a line of dialogue about her having cancer.

It would seem from the trailer for T6 that this wasn't true. Or perhaps yet another timeline to confuse the audience.

Cameron has confirmed that Terminator 6 will ignore every sequel except for Terminator 2: Judgment Day. "This is a continuation of the story from Terminator 1 and Terminator 2. And we're pretending the other films were a bad dream. Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse," he explained.

well, hell, the Frankenstein monster got a bad new brain and went blind in Ghost of Frankenstein [1942] but when Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man [1943] that was all forgotten - must have been a multiverse thing then too!

Not to mention that the monster was destroyed by fire at the end of pretty much every one of those movies.

I know this stuff now having been able to watch some of these old flicks recently

Good decision.

James Cameron does not have a lot of output, but he pretty much hits a home run (or at least a triple) every time.

12/18/09 Avatar
12/19/97 Titanic
7/15/94 True Lies
7/3/91 Terminator 2: Judgment Day
8/11/89 The Abyss
7/18/86 Aliens
10/26/84 The Terminator

The closest movie that he has ever come to having a failure is "The Abyss". The film had problems in my mind, mostly because it kept genre jumping, but it was still pretty riveting.

Many people say that the only reason James Cameron ever made T2 was because he needed a surefire hit after The Abyss was seen as somewhat of a disappointment.

The Abyss was ranked #24 that year, but the production budget was rumored to be considerably higher than that of Batman or Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Of course, Cameron spent even more money making T2 which was thought to be the first movie that cost over $100 million to produce, but nobody cared because it was ranked #1 around the world that year.

The original Terminator production budget was $6.4 million.

While everyone was impressed with the liquid terminator in T2, the same effect was in the Abyss. Not that I endorse the Abyss, most of it was very slow.

There are people who watched all of
Abyss? Never been able to do it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

So I take it if the arm from the movie comes on the market, you won't be bidding?
