The Bible means everything to me, how dare you.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Please don't make me read the Bible again.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I'd like to add please: Wizard's conscience is relatively clear because a small act bothered his conscience. This is very very good. With the letter, when we do wrong, face to face is the best IMO (where and when possible). Usually, the opposite of expectation will happen. The only time I would be anonymous, is if I contributed money to someone in need. That way, I would know for sure I wasn't performing the act for myself. Self can fool self. But if we wrong someone, face to face would be ideal, if they're still living. If they're not still alive, then all we have to do is be willing. It doesn't matter if the act was illegal. If we do the crime, we do the time (be willing). If they live out of town, then a letter or text would be fine. I'd offer them an amount that fits my conscience. |

PotPie Member since: Oct 9, 2022 Threads: 5 Posts: 310 | To me, when a person feels guilt because they did something wrong to someone, or when a person wants to help someone out of the goodness of their heart, that is a strong indication that there is a God. Of course, it doesn't prove there is a God. But why would a person feel this way if there was no God? Why would he have such a conscience? Why wouldn't he just do everything for the benefit of himself? Or course, there are some that do just that. I don't really know if there is a God. I'm on the fence. In the Bible, at various times, God intervened to help suffering people. But there are millions of suffering people today and throughout history who have not gotten that kind of help. It seems kind of unfair that there are mysteries in life that humans of our generations can never understand; such as the universe. But that's the way it is. the foolish sayings of a rich man pass for words of wisdom by the fools around him |

I'm not so sure I'd describe a conscience warning us as emotional guilt. It'd be more like an intuition, not an emotion. An emotion would come from the soul (self) and intuition from the human spirit (not self). Intuition could trigger an emotion though. |
