Pete Buttigieg is ending his presidential bid, a campaign aide confirmed Sunday to CNN. He has secured a place in the history books. I am guessing he will get a job at MSNBC or CNN.

Klobochur won't quit until after Tuesday as she wants to win in Minnesota. IDK about Warren. I am guessing she is not going to quit tomorrow.

Now comes the big argument. Sanders will California and Texas, but in the general election that doesn't matter since a glass of water would beat Trump in Calfiornia, and nobody is going to beat Trump in Texas.

Biden is slated to win the battleground state of North Carolina on Tuesday in what may be his only win that day.

A lot is riding on who wins the rest of the battleground states.

The Democrats have 2 problems. The "viability" rule so if some of the hangers on take 14% or less it leaves the delegates for Bernie who should have a reasonable result in most places. But really they moved everything up to "get it over with" but did not see why things worked better drawn out. It is doubtful they imagined the circus they have gotten, but still an example of be careful what you wish for.

Longer term if the Democrat Party really is the 45% or so socialist it appears to be then we may see some real realignment in USA politics by 2030.
The President is a fink.

Looks like Pete is out. He's suspending his campaign. Seems a low chance it could be anything else.

No more BootyFudge to mock? Sad..
Beato and Booty, what a team they
would make. Don't forget they
were both taken VERY seriously
by the Dem party..

Joe Biden is now the youngest male candidate in the Dem primary race.

Can Pete pledge his delegates to someone? Or am I thinking of some different scenario?

It seems very suspicious for him to suspend his campaign at this time. Why not wait to make a decision until after "super Tuesday"?

I have a feeling that some behind the scene deal making and promises had been made to him for him to drop out at this time.

Being on the campaign trail is
hard for a younger man, let
alone people in their late 70's.
Biden, Bernie, Mini Mike are
all 8-10 years older than Hill
and Trump were in 16. And
it almost killed Hillary.

Trump was doing 2-3 rally's
a day sometimes. These old
geezers will be lucky to be
able to do 1-2 a week. I was
wrong about Avenatti, he'll
be on trial in Calif all summer.
I can't rule Hillary out, she's
on the sidelines like an old
hungry spider, waiting to
pounce.

Yeah this is odd because he was by no means out of the race. He was in third, and was far more likely than some remaining in the race.

I have a feeling some kind of deal must have been made to prevent siphoning of delegate before Super Tuesday.

Bloomberg may be involved they have some common financial connections, and they may want to centralize all moderate voters to combat Bernie.

if you're a fame whore like Trump, being the main attraction is not work. Being alone with no one to brag to, is probably his worse nightmare.

Trump is not the guy who would go to a party, and is bored in 5 minutes, unless maybe no one noticed him.

Again you spectacularly miss the point. It's
about having the energy and the stamina
to do that many rallies. Trump was 69 for
most of 2016 rally season. These old geezers
are eight or nine years older than that.
Whoever wins the nomination we'll have
to go on a geriatric tour, They'll have no choice.

That is a bucket of cold water

Bernie Sanders September 8, 1941 (age 78)
Michael Bloomberg February 14, 1942 (age 77)
Joe Biden November 20, 1942 (age 77)
Elizabeth Warren June 22, 1949 (age 70)
Tom Steyer June 27, 1957 (age 62)
Amy Klobuchar May 25, 1960 (age 59)
Tulsi Gabbard April 12, 1981 (age 38)
Pete Buttigieg January 19, 1982 (age 38)

Donald Trump June 14, 1946 (age 73)

Pete was the most likely candidate to take enough delegates on Super Tuesday to prevent anyone from breaking 50%. He may very well have been offered Secretary of Treasury if he dropped out before Super Tuesday. I don't think they are in a position to offer VP or Secretary of State this early.

Candidate Delegates
Bernie Sanders 58
Joe Biden 50
Pete Buttigieg 26
Elizabeth Warren 8
Amy Klobuchar 7
