I can't imagine either of them deferring to the other at this point, but I did think maybe one would announce the other as a running mate last month to consolidate their supporters. If Warren isn’t the nominee, she will not be anyone’s VP. If for no other reason than the GOP governor of MA would appoint her successor in the Senate (and eventually there’d be a special election - same scenario didn’t work out well for Dems when Ted Kennedy died). “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

That kind of running mate rarely seems to work. It would appear you get 2 for 1. But the #2's supporters will always feel like 2nd class. The President is a fink. |

Senator Mikulski made gentle fun of her own rather plain looks when she greeted the screaming crowd cheering her elections by saying "Where were you guys on prom night?" As of January 2020, there are 17 Democrats and 9 Republicans women serving in the United States Senate, the highest proportion of women serving as U.S. senators in history. |
