People will be looking at this 300
years from now be saying oh my
dear god. Just we would be saying
if there was movies from NYC in
1720.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Here is a change of pace:

This really shows two things. One is just how far so much of the USA had collapsed to by the mid-70s. The 1970s were a nadir for so much in the USA, not just rail. All across the land, industry was in this kind of shape. Not just industry. Even as a child I could see how bad things were. It was as if after we won WWII we decided to not invest in what helped win it and just rode the old wealth as long as possible.

Second thing is while this is just the rail yard, the "infrastructure" thing. This is limited to rail, but even then it was all over the place about things falling apart. When you beg for higher taxes because "our infrastructure is falling apart around us" realize that this cry has been made for at least 40 years and is nothing new.

I lived near RR tracks and I remember
in the 60's how bad some of the
overpasses were, and bridges across
rivers. Crumbling and falling apart.
There was even a 27 car derailment
here in 67 because the tracks were
so bad.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Near me there was a section with 4 tracks in the 70s. It was falling apart. Now like 2 tracks handle probably more tons. Old switch house stood for years eventually covered in graffiti. Might still stand.

Homeless Shelter dogs picking out donated Christmas presents.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

This old guy is fascinating. He's an actor
who's 80 and has had an interesting
life. He was in a long running series
called Dear John, among other
things. He's been making videos
for 12 years about everything under
the sun. He dropped out of HS
in 1953 at 14 and still had a hugely
successful life. He has hundreds
of videos.

no one gives the live camera person credit for holding steady through that.

I think I am going to kill Netflix as I just watch YT so much more. Every now and then I get on a "Japan Kick." Gotta take one of those 3 week tours I saw one day. It is amazing what they do with small stuff. Small cars here. The camper is a neat idea in this day and age. If you are some kind of tech or project worker who needs a cheap place to lie your head it could work.

15 minutes of playing around, and they're looking for something to eat I bet. They probably are real comfy in the snow though.
