Nothing "forced" at all. Play for another team. Play another sport. If you are at WORK, then you behave as your EMPLOYER requires. If that means standing and showing respect or wearing 28 pieces of flair, that is what you do. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

These things happen as part of your job. An example. I worked a gig that was for I forget what charity, United Way maybe but doesn't matter. We had the DC and Baltimore chapters, along with the second-tier cheerleaders for the Redskins and Ravens. The DJ had to change shirts each half hour. As he was he was mumbling "fine way for a lifetime Steeler fan to make a few extra bucks." He could have turned down the gig if he had strong feelings, but that was the job. Second thing is the fans are the CUSTOMER. We have seen that most of the customers do not like seeing players disrespect the anthem. Players have to satisfy the wants of the CUSTOMER if they want the job. Without the CUSTOMER they are nothing. Final thing is it is proper to show respect for the anthem when player, act like a grown man. If I am in Canada, I stand for their anthem, though no hand on my heart. Actually that seems to be a USA thing. I would not expect a Canadian player to place hand on heart, but I do expect them to stand. I have never seen a Canadian not do this at a USA event, BTW.
