I believe Flynn still has worry about lying. He could lose the deal if caught in more lies.

Absolutely that Flynn has to come totally clean and honest
He got a real sweet deal from Mueller
The only way Mueller gave him that sweet deal is because Flynn is now being completely truthful
If Flynn remains truthful, he keeps the deal
Flynn now has no reason to lie. Telling the truth is in his best interests

The MSM thinks this works like an
ep of Law and Order. Loads of
melodrama and last minute 'gotcha'
surprises by the prosecution.

The former special prosecutors say
it's not that Flynn is going to cooperate,
he's already done it. He's already told
them all he knows, or they never would
have gone public. The MSM acts like,
gee, now the fun starts, what will Flynn
say! Too late, if there was anything he
could say that was incriminating for
Trump, he's already said it, and it's a
nothing burger or we would be hearing
about it.

They don't necessarily need him to provide evidence, they could also just use him to corroborate existing evidence that they aquired through the other branches of their investigations.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned this one yet.

Quote: Trump Tweet
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

This one is so potentially incriminating that a Trump lawyer is now trying to claim responsibility for it.

Allen Dershowitz said, “The last thing any prosecutor wants to do is to have to indict his primary witness for lying. Because if you indict your witness for lying, it really means he’s not useful as a witness, he has no credibility. I’m sure the prosecutor was trying to indict him for some scheme or conspiracy that involved other people in the White House, but there is nothing there, and he had to, finally come down and indict him for lying, which makes him a useless witness.. If I’m a defense lawyer, I have no trouble destroying his credibility on the witness stand. These are forms of essentially, political jaywalking, I would say this is not a day for celebrating for the prosecution in the Mueller office.”

John Dean was indicted for lying. He was a very useful witness.

Where did Nixon end up?

Quote:
John Wesley Dean III (born October 14, 1938) is an investment banker, author, columnist, lecturer and former attorney who served as White House Counsel for United States President Richard Nixon from July 1970 until April 1973. In this position, he became deeply involved in events leading up to the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent Watergate scandal cover-up. He was referred to as the "master manipulator of the cover-up" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).[1] He pleaded guilty to a single felony count, in exchange for becoming a key witness for the prosecution. This ultimately resulted in a reduced prison sentence, which he served at Fort Holabird outside Baltimore, Maryland.

Besides pretending Trump's word stands up against anyone is pretty funny. Nixon seems like an honest man by comparison to what Trump does 24/7 365 a year.

I'm surprised the Orange Twit hasn't pardoned Flynn or fired Mueller.

Like Nixon and Clinton before him, it's not the act that will hurt him, it's the cover-up.

Impeachment and removal is a political process, not a legal one. That's why the trial is conducted by the Senate, not the Supreme Court. But it's not a simple party line vote, either.

For enough GOP senators to vote to remove, you'd need trump to do something not just egregious but also unpopular with the GOP base. I just don't see this happening.

If 1) the GOP loses the Senate or the House in 2018 and/or 2) there is a recession by mid-2018, then chances improve.
