Most voting Arizonans approved of Arpaio's "tent city" where convicts were housed outside and not provided fringe benefits. When asked if he thought that the convicts deserved air conditioning, Joe replied, " our soldiers in Iraq are carrying 80lb. packs in 130 degree heat, and they didn't commit any crimes . How many times do you think Arpaio heard some prisoner say he was innocent, or got railroaded. Hundreds of times? More? But they ended up doing time anyway in Joe's camp, unless or until they got cleared. Joe didn't get cleared by any process. Wasn't a review. Nothing Trump just let him off. That's pretty disgusting. Arpaio didn't have anything to do with their sentencing. Do you think we should send an 84 year old man who has served his country for all his adult life to prison for contempt of court? There are Swat teams with no knock warrants that get the wrong house all the time and almost always kill the family dog, who do no time at all. All kind of dealers and rapists, and thugs who do no time inside. Joe doesn't deserve jail. Yup, contempt of court gets you thrown in jail because you already defying the court when you decide to act against it. Whereas if you follow court orders you may be considered to do other types of penance outside.. Old people and veterans are not above the law unless they are incompetent or something. They guy didn't like to show prisoners any comfort, so what's wrong with showing him the same deal.. Nothing period.
