You always stand behind your "they're both bad" position but always fail to criticize the GOP when what they do is much much worse.

You know, you really shouldn't argue with someone who has a goalpost hitched to his pick-up truck :)

Naturally both parties are bad. What strikes me as hard to believe, is that neither seems to have a clue about what to do when they're not in power, except oppose everything the other side does.

I said back in Obama's first term the GOP should have proposed their own healthcare insurance legislation. That would be hard for the Democrats to do now, because the ACA is their legislation. But they could speechify on how a complex law may require tweaks and reforms even after only a few years, and then propose their own fixes.

Instead they're just saying "DO NOT CHANGE EVEN A COMMA IN THE ACA!!" which is the height of stupidity and political incompetence.

The GOP in the meantime is rushing through potentially lethal legislation, because they can't move on to tax "reform" in reconciliation without passing the AHCA first. If it turns out as unpopular as it looks like, they may well lose the House and the Senate next year. And they'll deserve it.

RUSH: "You have no idea the degree to which the media and the Democrat Party are destroyed today. I’m talking about how they feel. You have no idea. I don’t care what you watch, what you read, you will not be allowed a peek inside what they really feel. Complete and utter defeat, frustration, devastation, and they have no answers."

It's a good day to be President Trump. This
is what you get when you try and get rid
of a president duly elected by the country.
You get slapped down and humiliated.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

At she gets it...in spite of her political leanings...

I'm not the one with a goal post hitched to my Prius...the other person in this conversation is...

I believe we are becoming numb to just how friggin delusional some of them are.

To actually suggest the process the GOP has used for the ACHA is on par with how ObamaCare was debated and passed is just pure ignorance of the facts.

Nice job of taking one sentence out of a whole statement that was not a glowing endorsement of your position.

Maybe you should just start changing quotes from others and make them say want you want, too.

I'm still waiting for you to actually defend your position that the GOP's ACHA process is somehow equivalent to how the Dems debated and passed ObamaCare in 2010 instead of your constant whining about my political leanings.

I compared the process of the two enough that any reasonable person would understand that the process both have gone through is undesirable; you proceeded to just say the way the Dems did it was better. Congratulations! You can have prize for "Best Crappy Process in Passing a Healthcare Bill."

You have such lofty goals...keep aiming low...

I said your comparison of the current Senate process to Nancy Pelosi was a "FALSE EQUIVALENCY" and you overreacted with this:

You've got to be kidding me. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen posted here. The Democrats put out a massive bill and voted on it before it was even completely written...the Senate is now writing a bill that may come out minutes before a vote is taken.

Actual, hell, you are right so far...the Senate Republican bill may actually be available to read before the vote.

"One of the most ridiculous things you've ever seen posted here."

You can't seem to elaborate why, though...

I did. You don't really care whether I did or did not; why did I think I could even have a conversation with you? I forget that from time to time...you aren't interested in any real conversation, only your position.

I need to go back to not reading your posts...

The Democrats passed a bill that was not completely written and understood at the time:

"Congress ultimately passed a Senate bill that nobody wanted, and, indeed, that likely no one had read in its entirety when the Senate passed it, and that certainly no one fully understood. Senator Max Baucus, one of Obamacare’s chief architects, not only acknowledged not reading the bill, but opined that it would have been a “waste of time” to do so, because only experts could understand it…."

When the Republicans actually do that, they will be just as much/more messed up, depending on how it happens. At this point, there is no passed bill so we can't really finish comparing the processes.

Agreed. Wouldn't want you to get banned again.

It will be much more messed up.

True. Let's hope we can never finish comparing the processes.
