I cook so much I know how much it costs them, and I won't give 1000% profit just because they think they can get it. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I paid like $30 for a Kobe burger at Burger Bar because I always wanted to try it. I doubt I will again. I am the type even with Mark Cuban money I remember the effort and would not justify it to myself. The President is a fink. |

Just one dish can take hours to make, and a buffet often has a dozen. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

The selling point of Kobe is the extreme marbling in the steak. Grinding it into a burger defeats the whole point, since a chef could add extra fat to the mix anyway. Making a Kobe burger is a waste of a Kobe steak, and there's potential for an unscrupulous restaurant to lie regarding its Kobe pedigree. That being said, I myself had a Kobe salisbury steak at Grand Luxe Café at Venetian a couple years ago. I only ordered it because menu said "Kobe", and knew it wouldn't the same as ordering the tiny Kobe cubes or slices at a sushi bar. It was delicious. |

We were staying at the Marriot East side in Manhattan, which is one of those 1920 era hotels. I remember they had a sign in the elevator that said Thai buffet for $75 per person (not including alcohol tax and tip). You really realize that Manhattan is not truly part of America. |

Very unlikely that this was actually real Kobe beef so I can understand why you won't do it again. |
