Probably a crab stuffed fillet mignon at a little bar south of buffalo was one of the mode expensive but worth it. Most other meals around 50 or so but I don't remember many of them. That me I do like 15 years later. The name of the bar I forget. The President is a fink. |

Now it doesnt surprise me, when we are talking "fine dining" and do soup to nuts including a blind eye when it comes to the drinks. That being said, it's not something I make a habit of. Maybe 3 times I've spent over $200 per person. |

The first time was at Strip Steak, but I had vouchers to reduce the cost to about $75. Excellent steak, with the trimmings, great company and good atomosphere. Second time was just about $100 with the tip for dinner at Andre's at Monte Carlo. Wanted to hit up a Michelin starred restaurant, and this place had provided a very nice whisky lounge to us in the past. Excellent French cuisine, great service, with lots of touches to make a very memorable meal. I would probably repeat the $100 meal experience at other places, with some careful research beforehand. But not that often. It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die.... it's called Life |

whatme Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 0 Posts: 21 | Not including comped meals the most I spend on myself is $20. The top 2 options: 1) Pizza, fries, and garlic knots. 2)Chinese food, and the place closed down replaced by a bank. The food was always fresh and good, I'll miss it. I will say the bad economy kept it open as they were going to sell the land back in 08' to a bank. Why couldn't the eco. stay down!!! |

I've done $250 for two at Bradley Odgen at Caesars (miss that place). Think I did about the same at Nero's (also gone). Of course Bachannal, which was $50/person. I've got to try Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars. Unfortunately, I will never have enough comp for them . . . :( |

I think the question is a little ambiguous. Are we talking about per person, or while dining alone? The most I have spent, per person, when I was with other people, was about $175. It was a prix fix dinner for $150 (plus tip) on Christmas Eve a few years back, at the Copper Beech Inn, in central CT. Yeah, we were at Foxwoods for the holiday, but chose to eat off-property that night. Pricey, but worth it. As such, I voted $100-$200. The most I have every spent for a meal while dining alone was about $30. And it's rare for it to be that high. $15-$20 is a more typical meal for me when dining out alone. Ignorance is bliss and knowledge is power. But having only some facts can get you into trouble! |
