I finally watched a trailer for this
and didn't even make it halfway.
It has a 95% black cast and really
good CGI and a really shitty
screenplay. I couldn't understand
half the dialog I heard. The critics
who were brave enough to speak
honestly say it's bogged down
in banality and meaningless wordy
flashbacks. It panders to the race
problem.

"The media’s enthusiasm for this bland action flick is maddening. The problem isn’t one particular movie, but the celebration of the illusion of “progress.” When Hollywood pegs everything in terms of race or gender, it dictates to the masses and keeps them all in a plantation mentality, mindlessly applauding Black Panther as part of the new segregation."
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

LOL

I don't think there is one member on these boards who is surprised that Black Panther isn't EB's cup of tea. But to misrepresent the critical consensus is...well.... typical EB.

WTF
EB only watches 1/2 of a trailer and can determine the screenplay is "shitty"
He makes no sense as usual.
ROTFL
I cant have an opinion on a script till I see the whole movie

Well, at least he isn't pretending he actually went to the theater and watched it like he did with Wonder Woman.

I can't make it through the B.P. trailer either. So much CGI car chase, flying through the air, blah blah blah, just terrible. No interest in seeing that crap. Never even heard of Black Panther anyway. Seems the studios are really reaching now after getting rich off of mainstream comic books. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, okay, I get it. Then they go second tier with X-Men, Avengers and all their spin-offs, and drained that for all they could. But then they sink to stories I've never heard of like Suicide Squad, Deadpool and Jonah Hex. I couldn't make it halfway when Guardians of the Galaxy was on HBO. A talking tree? Star Lord? Seriously? I'm embarrassed for the people go pay to see these things.

I don't read comics because, well, I'm a grown-up, so I realize these flicks aren't aimed at me. I cringe when I see yet another dumb trailer for Ant-Man 2 or Red Sparrow wondering when, WHEN will this play itself out.

I did enjoy Watchmen though. Great effects, details, characters, story. And probably Ghost Rider more than I should admit, so maybe I'm talkin' out my a$$.

And FWIW, I look forward to EB's and AZD's posts as much as Paco's (sorry Paco!) as the alt viewpoint. Or the voice of reason. Or to hear my own opinion stated so eloquently by someone else, who can bear the hive hatred for publicly writing it.
