Without Florida there is a much more difficult path to the presidency where Hillary loses every state the Obama lost in 2012, and Trump wins the following five states with high percentage of "white, not Latino" demographic. All five of these states were won by Obama in 2012. 20 Pennsylvania 20 18 Ohio 18 10 Minnesota 10 10 Wisconsin 10 6 Iowa 6 If Bill breaks down and tells people Hillary is a Lesbian, I think she is still going to get elected.  |

The latest average at Real Clear Politics has Clinton up by under 1% in Ohio. Before the latest Trumpian Embarrassment (The Best Embarrassment you've Ever Seen, I love this Embarrassment), she was down 3%. Republicans can take solace in two things: 1) Trump is not dragging down his party, as the GOP is not really his party. It's just the banner of convenience he jumped on. 2) They won't have to live in a country where the likes of Trump can be elected president; at least not yet. Of course, thing 1) should be a BIG FUCKING RED FLAG for the GOP establishment. How could someone who didn't even pay lip service to "conservative" ideals ride so high in the GOP polls? Answer: bigotry. Either the GOP takes on their base and settles them down or expels them, or they will produce an heir to Trump for next election. And if they have a Trumpian heir running next time, he might win. and then thing 2) also goes away. The GOP leadership could take a principled stand which would save their party, but would also make them incur in electoral losses this year: A) Withdraw all support for Trump, be it monetary (but especially monetary), logistical, intellectual, moral, or monetary (especially monetary, it bears repeating). If the Trump campaign needs to know the time of day, you say nothing. B) Withdraw again all support, including monetary support (especially monetary support), from every candidate at every level who supports Trump even by saying a kind word about him or his family. It's looking like Trump at zero EVs won't happen. But not up by 5 unless you are selecting a few states only. Cross boarding.... But did you see my offer of a bet on WoV? You predicted early impeachment of Hillary if she gets elected. I am willing to bet big bucks that you are wrong. |
