"Brexit" will be followed by a mass scramble by Britain's foreign services to secure trade deals with the EU and all other countries and/or trading blocs they have no treaties with as yet, but which they may have had as part of the EU. It's possible they may get the same terms, but not very likely. For one thing, all signatories will have compromised in the past and will now want to renegotiate. For another, EU content will have to be assessed differently. And the EU might meddle as well to protect its interests. What British manufacturers and exporters and their local contractors and subcontractors will do in the meantime, is too chaotic to know. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I understand that many Wealthy Londoners have weekend homes in Northern France which are obviously more accessible because of the chunnel. France is more affordable than much of the greater London area (or the Cotswalds). I am not sure what Parisians do. The average journey time between Paris and Lyon is 1 hour and 58 minutes and the fastest journey time is 1 hour and 52 minutes. On an average weekday, there are 32 trains per day travelling from Paris to Lyon. But Lyon is closer to the mountains, but is still 150 miles from the beach. |
