It's brilliant(*) If Trump loses, the GOP will continue to experience in-fighting and much soul-searching that, in the end, most likely will make the party stronger. Knowing that no one who hates the GOP, like 99.9999% of Democratic voters for example, would want to do the GOP a favor, much less help the GOP, the plan is for Democrats to turn out for Trump in large numbers on election day to prevent the bigger catastrophe that a stronger GOP would be in the next cycle.
