I think the race has already started...didn't Booker mention his interest just the other day? Anyway, for the purpose of this thread the case IS closed. Just as it was closed for 2008's election when President Obama was certified as the winner. Those other issues--birthers, taxes, etc.--do not matter for the purposes of Trump vs Hillary 2016. He won. She lost. There is no outstanding issue that will keep Trump from assuming office in a peaceful transfer of power on January 20th. Of course, all kinds of OTHER discussions are still open...we'll see if any have real substance to them. Turn out the lights, Hillary's party has long been over!! Do I still have "concerns" about President-elect Trump? You betcha. There just isn't much else to say about the 2016 election. Why not? The Democrats, who lost soundly, are blaming everyone but themselves for their loss. If they really start discussing the real "why" behind the loss, maybe there is some discussion to be had. Blaming Trump for their inept candidate and campaign is just passing the buck. They have things to fix. That is on them, not Trump. Trump won. Hillary lost. Democrats were soundly thumped across the nation, in spite of having a hugely popular President in office. Now we can move on to a discussion of the Trump Presidency...we'll see how that goes... |
