Is this what we want? The blue
areas on this map electing
every president? The red is
is the counties where Trump
won.

Given that more people live in the blue areas, yes, that's exactly what I want.

Let me turn your "logic" against you. Alaska is physically larger than Texas. Do you advocate Alaska having more electoral votes than Texas?

With winner take all, AK wouldn't
matter. All the blue areas would
elect a Dem every time.

You're the one who brought physical geography into the picture. You implied that the blue areas, being physically smaller, shouldn't have as much power as the red areas. Don't be a coward and run away from your own premise once it's proved to be dead wrong.

I'm trying to put myself in your place.
Laughing at Trump for a year and a
half, believing all the pap the press is
spoon feeding you. Worshiping the
old bag crook, singing her praises,
longing for the day Trump has his lunch
handed to him on election day. Making
a huge bowl of popcorn, watching the
returns like it's Xmas morning, only to
realize the media played you for a fool
and a sucker. That you can't get over it
is the real treat.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

He's played you, Bob. Like a puppet. Like a fool. Like a naive virgin on her wedding night.

Yeah, he promised to keep Carrier here
and look! He kept them here. Wait a minute,
he did what he said, which is the polar
opposite of playing us. You're wrong yet
again. Wrong about who would win and
wrong about this. Expect to get used to
the feeling.

He also said he would tax them for sending jobs out of the country, which they are still doing.

Who's on the left and who's on the right? Can we have a role call?

Jim, ask my political consultant Stuart Margolin what side I am on.

The Democrats have won every popular vote except one since 1992, so there is a real possibility that a Republican will win without the popular vote several times in your lifetime. Changing the electoral college requires a constitutional amendment, so that is not going to happen.

It is more likely that Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin will change their voting procedure to cast their EC votes to the winner of the nationwide popular vote instead of the statewide popular vote. I see that possibility as pretty close to zero.

Trump would prefer a National Popular Vote:

"On Sixty Minutes on November 13, 2016, President-Elect Trump said:

"I would rather see it, where you went with simple votes. You know, you get 100 million votes, and somebody else gets 90 million votes, and you win. There's a reason for doing this. Because it brings all the states into play."

I guess that's because he wants to turn the US into a banana republic and have his son win after him?

In 2012 he tweeted:

"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.
8:45 PM - 6 Nov 2012"

Note he does acknowledge he won with the EC, and he respects that system, just thinks another would make more sense.
