I forget which James Bond movie it was, but the production cost was 100% paid by placement fees. First time it ever happened. I do wonder if the average consumer realizes how blatant it can be.

I think it might have been Casino Royale.

It was the one where he drove a German car, BMW, for the first time. I lost interest after the early 1990s so that is really all I can offer.

I think that was Casino Royale. However, he rented some kind of German car when he went to Hamburg in Tomorrow Never Dies. I think an Audi but I'm not very sure.

Fairly sure the car was a BMW because of what they paid but again I have not seen the kater ones much so deferring back to you.

Bond first drove a BMW Z3 in Goldeneye, then he had a Z8 that got destroyed by that spinning buzz saw held by a helicopter in The World is not Enough

I read that the PP yielded $100 million for both "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Quantum of Solace" which began the beer tie in. But the production budget for those two movies was $135 and $200 million.
