The guy they're talking about on the utube vids, Ian Stevenson was considered pretty far out there by his colleagues. They didn't want to be associated with him. |

There is only one conclusion if you actually do the research. Where the heck did all these kids get such detailed info about a dead person. That's the most intensive part of these investigations, finding ways the kid could have gotten the info. If there's a way, they dismiss the case. They only want kids who had zero opportunities of finding the info from any outside source. As a result, they end up closing far far more cases then they investigate. The researchers have no agenda, that would make what they do pointless. If you perform the due diligence on this, you'll come away scratching your head, at the very least. Unless you have a bias to start with, that is. If you have a bias, that will usually win out. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

This is why I didn't answer the orig question. You don't really want an answer, you have another agenda entirely. Like you did in this post: http://diversitytomorrow.com/thread/1428/12/#post36363 If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Welcome to my world. Can I just confess that I am guilty of enjoying this thread too much.
This is certainly true with you in regards to the existence of God and the Catholic Church. Please don't let me distract you. I think the question on the table is what actually gets reincarnated? “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

pew Member since: Jan 8, 2013 Threads: 4 Posts: 1232 | I started this thread not to discuss reincarnation but to ask a guy who is an atheistic, religion hating curmudgeon who also happens to believe in life after death reconciles those two seemingly opposite positions. I've never heard of a materialist/naturalist/atheist make an argument for survival of the (fill in the blank) after death. I think evenbob spoke without thinking and now realizes he has no clue of an answer. i |

I call no man father. Besides that, we're keeping religion out of it. This is strictly a science question. |

pew Member since: Jan 8, 2013 Threads: 4 Posts: 1232 | Are you kidding ? I would love to have an adult conversation on the existence of a physical soul but I have no clue where to start which is where you come in. So how about it, what is your theory on what it is that survives death? |

No you wouldn't, you just want to cause trouble, like in the post of yours I linked to. I'm done with you, goodbye. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
