The Democrats have to win 30 seats in congress this election to get back control of the house, which has the strongest Republican control in nine decades. There is virtually zero chance of that happening, so the Democrats can only hope to be in better position for 2020. The Republicans almost always gain seats in mid term elections.

There are 11 districts held by Republicans which were labelled tossups by The Cook Political Report, and three districts currently held by Republicans which will probably go Democrat in this election. It is unlikely that the Republican will give up on an incumbent easily.

Currently I live in Crescent Hardy's district in Nevada, which is very evenly split, so no hope there.

Cresent Hardy's district is one of the three, so it will probably be an extremely hard fought election.

Florida 10 Daniel A. Webster (R) 2010
Florida 13 David Jolly (R) 2014
Nevada 4 Cresent Hardy (R) 2014

On July 20, 2015 Jolly announced that he is giving up his seat to run for the Senate seat being vacated by Marco Rubio in 2016

WTH kind of name is "Cresent"?

Maybe his dad Larry liked the tool company? Ironically, Cresent was a contractor before he became a congressman. His wife's name is Peri so maybe Mesquite has a thing about off the beaten track names.
