Face Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 61 Posts: 3941 | Aha! Seems that some Popemobiles stay in the host city. Guaran-damn-tee they don't keep that secure 24/7/365. Plus it seems there are two on this continent, which means I can get to them on my own. Dunno whether it's be easier to bribe a Mexican official or a Canadian museum keeper, but neither would seem to be too difficult. Probably Canada would be my target, as I could make the round trip to Ottawa for under $200 and still be home in time for dinner. Hmmm... As an aside - 375,000 pounds for a Popemobile?! Was it made of rhodium?! Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

It should go without saying that the Vatican is one of the toughest places on earth to get a license plate from. More information. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

The Pope normally gets a single digit (usually #1). SCV2 corresponds with yet another Fiat while Italian car manufacturer Isotta Fraschini claims the SCV3 license plate. Graham Paige, an American automobile no longer in production, has the SCV4 license plate. The vehicle was the fifth motorized mode of transportation for the pope, known for its sleek sedan design dating back to 1936. A Citroën car called "Lictoria Sex" that dates back to Pope Pious XI has the SCV5 license plate. The Ford Focus currently used by Pope Francis has license "SCV 00919". |

No country listed. Do they have some custom in Europe where certain letters are reserved and mean the country (like SCV for the Holy See) or is it just those oval stickers with the letter like you see here for every weird thing imaginable but actually official? The President is a fink. |

I was surprised how often a sitting POTUS and reigning Pope have actually met. Half of the meetings were with JPII.
The meeting in Alaska was because they were both enroute and refueling. |
