You realize that's a global warming document, right?

"Assessing Exxon Mobil’s global warming projections"

That's what the "scientists" used to call climate change.

Then they changed the name of it because it wasn't just heat involved but also cold cold cold.

Also, drought and moisture differences.

But definitely not global warming.

That's because the scientists were wrong.

So now, we are to think they're correct all of the sudden.

The overall global temp average is warming currently. "Average" being the key word. Yes it still rains and still gets cold. We still have droughts and other weather phenomena.

That document you pointed to is very interesting.

In the "Acknowledgments" at the bottom:

"Funding: The authors are supported by a Rockefeller Family Fund grant (G.S.) and Harvard University Faculty Development Funds (N.O.)."

Amazing what we can find in these biased and wrong "scientific" projections (funded by Mr. Oil himself).

So let me get this straight:

Exxon "scientists" believed in "global warming", let the secret documents leak, then just made an all-time record high on oil profits.

------------------------------------------------

The energy giant brought in $55.7 billion in annual profits, exceeding its previous record of $45.22 billion in 2008, when a barrel of oil soared close to $150.

MSM (controlled by financial institutions) want us to believe the reason oil companies set all-time record profits is because of reasons other than socialist climate change ideology (see below link).

If we limit production of a vital resource (stored Sun's energy), having a constant demand, then price can rise.

You might think if we provide government incentives (taxpayer financing) for electric cars, that would lower the price of energy.

If we had the green capacity (Sun's energy not stored), then possibly.

But if most of the "net" new cars purchased are powered by new coal plants (defeating the purpose of the incentive), then naturally all energy sources can rise in price.

So not only is socialist "science" wrong because of their dire projections, the politicians have no idea how to combat what they believe in.

Then to tip it off, it's not accurately reported by MSM showing the fallacy of climate change, because the same folks control the oil firms.

Biden, Democrats rage as Big Oil touts record profits

The economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine sent oil prices skyrocketing this year, bringing extremely high profits to energy companies.

“ You may have noticed that Big Oil just reported record profits. Last year, they made $200 billion in the midst of a global energy crisis. It’s outrageous,” President Biden said Tuesday night during the State of the Union address to Congress.

So nothing has changed in the History of Earth.

The same cycles occur repeatedly for billions and billions of years.

We'd all be living underground or in igloos if the Earth's Sun didn't melt the ice.

Remember the "scientists" use to say the water level would flood NYC or even the East Coast?

Or consider New Orleans.

Someone built New Orleans in a pit below sea level in Hurricane Alley.

So naturally water is going to flood in there.

Ice Age

An ice age is a period of colder global temperatures and recurring glacial expansion capable of lasting hundreds of millions of years. Thanks to the efforts of geologist Louis Agassiz and mathematician Milutin Milankovitch, scientists have determined that variations in the Earth’s orbit and shifting plate tectonics spur the waxing and waning of these periods.

There's no argument from me that there are natural forces at work and they don't go away.

But for comparison let's consider the current situation at Lake Mead next to Las Vegas for example. The equivalent of the climate change deniers could be arguing that the low levels have nothing to do with increased usage by humans but just a normal cycle. They could be arguing that mitigation efforts, like low flow faucets are just a scam to sell them something. I get it.

Paul Ehrlich is a good example, but check his awards and honors he received:

I am pointing this one out because he's a good example of a climate radical.

He wanted to sterilize the population through food and water.

As a side note, hopefully, the recent vaccinations don't negatively affect reproduction.

Doomsdays that didn’t happen: Think tank compiles decades’ worth of dire climate predictions

Some of the more dire predictions came from Paul Ehrlich, a biologist who famously urged population control to mitigate the impacts of humans on the environment. Ehrlich, in 1969, warned that "everybody" would "disappear in a cloud of blue steam in 20 years," The New York Times reported.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Ehrlich, warning of a "disastrous" famine," urged placing "sterilizing agents into staple foods and drinking water."

The water in the atmosphere naturally shifts around the globe.

It's contained in the atmosphere and the ground.

One place gets drought and another gets flooding.

The message is frugality and conservation naturally and through free markets, not artificial government manipulation like rainmakers nor carbon taxes, etc.

If water is scarce, then move to a place with water.

If water is plentiful, and close to sea level, then move to a dryer place.

I doubt if he had enough supporting data showing we would disappear in blue steam. The first of many problems most likely.

His prediction was automatically doomed when he mentioned 20 years, or any time limit.

No human knows the future.

But we can determine probabilities.

I'd begin with model simulations of the following taken from the "Ice Age" quote above, and then back-test it against actual data:

"...variations in the Earth’s orbit and shifting plate tectonics spur the waxing and waning..."

One issue is we don't have enough historical data to make a high probability prediction.

We just discovered plate tectonics.

I believe the free market governed the actions in Pompei when it was buried under volcanic ash and lave. Free markets lag quite a bit unless you prefer doing everything after the actual disaster. Furthermore, production anomalies are hidden from the consumer. Asbestos in the ceilings for years. Lead in pipes. Airbags that are faulty. I can only tell if my apple is bruised or rotten. I can't detect what chemicals might be in it. Building codes won't be met on time if some other motivating force is not out there making it so. Bridges not maintained. Dams that should have been improved.
